animal testing

About animal testing

Differences in physiology between test animals and humans mean the results of up to 96%* fail.

However there is so much money made through captive lab animals, breeding, cages and transport, animal testing goes on in many countries, often on behalf of other ones.

Do you think this is right? Have you considered alternatives that use human cells and could advance treatments and progression sooner, without hurting animals?

Here are some ethical, progressive and innovative organisations promoting this future now:

PCRM - ethical science

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, led by Dr Neal Barnard, is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets and ethical and effective scientific research. With over 12,000 physicians and 175,000 members in the US and worldwide, the site is a wealth of resources., including a 21-day kickstart diet which includes an Android/IOS app.

Animal Aid - testimg

Each year inside British laboratories, around 4 million animals are experimented on. Every 8 seconds, one animal dies. Animal Aid is one of the UK’s largest animal rights groups. It is also one of the longest established in the world, having been founded in 1977.
